Experience a day full of exciting ideas, practical insights and forward-looking discussions about legal tech. The Legal Tech Day brings together experts, practitioners and interested parties from the judiciary, law firms, administration and start-ups – live on site and in an exchange on equal terms.
In this session, we will focus on the category “Process and Case Management”. Four innovative companies will give compact short pitches providing insights into their solutions that make everyday work easier for lawyers – with intelligent workflow management, structured case and claim management, and transparent collaboration across teams and stakeholders. This allows legal processes to be digitized, automated and sustainably optimized. The participants are:
- Aggregate Claims Solutions (Spin-off of Deminor Litigation Funding)
- JUNE
The event will be moderated by our board member Maraja Fistanic. The event is also open to non-members. You can register for the event here.
Legal departments and law firms are currently facing a profound transformation: while the volume and complexity of work is constantly increasing, the available human resources are not. AI offers enormous opportunities here, but there is often still a gap between fascination and concrete implementation.
Kick-off date: Hands-on AI – Basics and the AI chatbot
This session marks the start of the AI Legal Lab and serves to determine where we stand: Where do I personally stand on the topic of AI and where can my law firm or legal department realistically go? The basis is a pragmatic 5-step model of AI use, from chatbot applications to independently acting AI assistants, which highlights solutions, capabilities and useful entry points. The main part will be practical: We will work live in an AI tool and apply it directly to legal use cases.

Criteria of trust – how do we measure responsible AI?
What actually makes AI trustworthy? Which benchmarking criteria should reflect not only performance, but also fairness, transparency and democratic legitimacy? And how do we avoid merely claiming ethical principles but not implementing them in a robust manner? These are the questions we will explore in this roundtable.
The focus will be on an in-depth ethical and legal-theoretical discussion on evaluation standards for AI.

Agility in practice: buzzword or best practice?
Few terms have shaped project management in recent years as much as “agility.” However, a look behind the scenes of supposedly agile projects often reveals little substance: a few buzzwords, a daily meeting and perhaps a Kanban board.
In our upcoming session, we want to take a closer critical look at agile methods and assess whether – and how – they can be effectively applied in legal tech projects.

Effective leadership is more in demand than ever – but in practice, teams still struggle more than they should. Psychology, not organization, is often the sticking point. Challenges are increasing: high staff turnover and the shift from VUCA to BANI are adding pressure. So how can leadership succeed in a world characterized by brittleness, anxiety, nonlinearity, and incomprehensibility? How do you recognize functioning teams – and how do dysfunctional teams get back into the flow?
We’ll explore these questions in our session “Come along: Leading in the BANI Era”.
