LEGAL TECH ASSOCIATION GERMANY: THIS IS THE NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS
On February 12, 2026, the regular general meeting of the Legal Tech Association Germany took place. The meeting focused on the regular board elections and personnel changes in the advisory board.
With the new lineup, the association is strengthening its role as a central platform for innovation, market design, and legal policy dialogue around legal tech and the digitization of the legal market in Germany.
New Executive Board: Broad expertise for a modern constitutional state
The following individuals were newly elected to the Executive Board of the Legal Tech Association Germany:
- Mareike Petrowitsch, General Counsel, Urban Sports Club
- Jan Wildhirth, Managing Director, Fieldfisher X
The following were re-elected:
- Alisha Andert (Co-founder & Managing Director, This is Legal Design)
- Maraja Fistanić (CRO & Co-Managing Director, Lexemo)
- Sebastian von Glahn (Sales Manager, C.H.Beck)
- Philipp Hammerich (Founder & Managing Partner, rightmart)
- Philippa Peters (Founder & COO/CLO, Fides Technology)
- Stefan C. Schicker (CEO, Inspiring Pioneers)
Maraja Fistanić and Stefan C. Schicker are taking over as chairpersons of the board with immediate effect.
Dr. Sven-Alexander von Normann (Deputy Group General Counsel, Bauer Media Group) and Mariam El-Ahmad (Co-Founder, Rotwang Law) have stepped down from the board.
“The digitization of the legal market is much more than just a technology issue – it is fundamentally changing business models, working methods and value creation in the legal sector,” explains Stefan C. Schicker. “With the newly appointed Executive Board and Advisory Board, we want to actively shape the transformation of the legal market by intelligently combining legal excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, technological innovation and constructive dialogue with policymakers. Our goal is a modern, efficient legal market that does not pit efficiency against quality, but strategically combines the two. I would like to express my special thanks to all members of the Executive Board and Advisory Board for their voluntary commitment.”
The term of office for members of the Executive Board is two years.

Advisory board expanded: Legal policy experience and strategic continuity
There have also been personnel changes in the advisory board of the Legal Tech Association Germany. Valerie Keilhau is moving from the management board to the advisory board, where she will contribute her experience at the interface of law, politics, and digitalization.
The association also welcomes Brigitte Zypries, former Federal Minister of Justice, as a new member of the advisory board. With her many years of experience in legislation and government, the advisory board gains additional proven expertise in legal policy. The association thus underlines its commitment to actively participating in debates on the digitization of the judiciary, the regulation of digital legal services, and the future of the rule of law.
The newly formed management team is united by the goal of actively driving forward the transformation of the legal market in Germany, establishing digital access to justice as the standard, and playing a pioneering role in constitutional innovation in Europe.
