legalXchange: New Legal Tech Industry Event Coming Spring 2026 to Munich
The legal industry is undergoing a digital transformation – and legalXchange is emerging as a new event format that puts the future of the legal market center stage. From April 28 to 30, 2026, the BMW Welt in Munich will become a hub for innovation, exchange, and networking in the legal profession.
legalXchange is an internationally oriented conference accompanied by a specialized trade fair. It is supported by five leading institutions known for excellence, innovation, and deep industry insight: the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice, C.H.BECK Publishing, the Liquid Legal Institute, the Legal Tech Association, and the Legal Tech Colab. The goal is to establish a platform that not only highlights current developments but also opens the door to the future of the legal market – practical, interdisciplinary, and internationally connected.
“legalXchange stands for collaborative thinking and action. The Liquid Legal Institute is proud to be part of an event that places openness, future orientation, and interdisciplinary exchange at its core,” says Lina Keßler, board member of the Liquid Legal Institute.
Stefan Schicker, board member of the Legal Tech Association, emphasizes:
“This event creates a real ecosystem for Legal Tech – with space for start-ups, established providers, the judiciary, and public administration. It’s a place where visionaries and practitioners shape the future together.”
Bavarian Minister of Justice Georg Eisenreich adds:
“With legalXchange, we are creating a platform that fosters exchange between the judiciary, academia, and the business sector while addressing the opportunities and challenges of the legal system’s digital transformation. Munich thus takes a leading role as an innovation driver for the legal market in Europe.”
“legalXchange is more than just a conference – it’s a stage for new ideas, a network for talent, and a catalyst for evolving legal careers, particularly for start-ups helping to shape tomorrow’s legal market,” says Alexander Laprell, Managing Director of Legal Tech Colab.
Roland Klaes, Managing Director at C.H.BECK Publishing, adds:
“At legalXchange in the BMW Welt, innovation and legal practice come together. Here, legal exchange becomes the catalyst for legal change – where visions turn into reality and cross-sector dialogue sparks transformative ideas and practical solutions.”
The program includes keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and an exhibition covering central future topics of the digital legal world – from practical applications of AI and Legal Tech to regulatory and ethical challenges, as well as the future of legal services and digital justice in Germany and Europe. Special formats such as a Start-up Stage and Career Lounges will also address students and young professionals directly.
legalXchange aims to be both a gateway and stage for German and European Legal Tech providers. Start-ups are given a platform to showcase innovation and build networks in the German Legal Tech market. The event fosters targeted networking within the legal industry and beyond – between law firms, companies, the judiciary, public administration, academia, and start-ups.
Details about the program and registration will be announced soon at legalxchange.de.
